The complex specifications of this work required superior technical capability, accurate programming and precise timing.

The project involved the billets, each weighing approximately two tonnes, being broken out from concrete encapsulation, without damaging the integrity of either the billet or the base slab.

Once the billet was removed, and the base slabs were closely assessed and graded. New billets were then lowered into position, carefully packed to meet exact height and width specifications.  Finally, fibre-reinforced concrete was placed and finished around the billets to ensure absolute position stability
